Where Do We Go From Here? collage

Where Do We Go From Here?

A new online series where thought leaders share insights, encouragement, and calls to action on how we can mobilize in this moment and continue to push for progress

Since Donald Trump took office for a second term, he has initiated a devastating and chaotic wave of executive orders to undo a wide variety of laws and protections impacting women, people of color, immigrants, LGBTQ+ people, and other marginalized communities. These attacks have left many of us who advocate for feminist issues wondering, “Where do we go from here? How can we mobilize, defend our hard-won rights, and even make progress in this moment?”

To explore the answers to these questions, journalist, author, and Feminist.com founder Marianne Schnall reached out to a diverse group of leaders and activists for a series of articles and a special Feminist.com section, “Where Do We Go From Here?” In it, leaders share their insights, strategies, words of encouragement, and calls to action that we can draw from as we continue the important work of advancing gender equality and intersecting issues.

Help Us Celebrate Women’s History Month and Uplift Gloria Steinem’s Vision of a More Equal World

Every March, in honor of Women’s History Month and Gloria Steinem’s birthday, we uplift Gloria’s important vision for a more equal world: “We are linked, not ranked.”

This year—with authoritarianism on the rise, the freedoms and rights of women and other marginalized groups under attack, and even observances for International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month (among other cultural awareness days and months) being scrapped to comply with Trump’s anti-DEI agenda—Gloria’s message feels more important than ever.

We hope you’ll join us in celebrating Women’s History Month—and resisting the forces trying to roll back women’s progress and contributions—by purchasing a We Are Linked Not Ranked bracelet set featuring Gloria’s iconic phrase, helping spread the message of equality, interconnection, and solidarity.

We Are Linked Not Ranked

A portion of bracelet proceeds go to support the work of Feminist.com and 50% of proceeds are donated to Gloria’s Foundation, which works to preserve Gloria Steinem’s home, contents, and future as a feminist space.

Feminist.com 30th Anniversary Spotlight

30th Anniversary

In 2025, we are excited to mark Feminist.com’s 30th anniversary, and we have much to celebrate as we look back at the last three decades! Over the next few months, our website and newsletter will include a retrospective featuring flashbacks to Feminist.com’s work and partnerships over the years. We look forward to celebrating our accomplishments with all of you and setting the stage for the next 30 years of impactful work together.

This month, we’re looking back to the first salon of our FemSalon Series in Spring 2012 on The State of Feminism. Hosted by Gloria Steinem at her home, the room was filled with incredible people, including longtime friends, supporters, and colleagues, who gathered together to affirm the importance of women’s voices and leadership in all aspects of society—a message that perhaps feels even more relevant today. As featured speaker Carol Gilligan, psychologist and author, remarked, “Feminism is... one of the greatest liberation movements in human history. It’s the movement to liberate democracy from patriarchy.”

Other speakers included Devaki Jain, Kathy LeMay, Pat Mitchell, Kathy Najimy, Marianne Schnall, and Gloria Steinem. Watch some of the highlights and get more information about The State of Feminism salon on Feminist.com, including speaker videos, an album of photos from the event, and a list of attendees.

Building on our history of hosting dynamic events, in 2025, Feminist.com is raising funds to curate a series of online and in-person events, including hosting a year-end event in NYC featuring high-profile speakers on timely themes to foster community, build connection, and uplift actions to commemorate our 30-year anniversary. Stay tuned for more details.

Help Us Build a New Feminist Hub

At this pivotal moment in which our rights are under attack, the feminist movement needs a place to build community, counteract misinformation, and take collective action. Feminist.com is ready to become the hub our movement needs – but we need your help.

We are seeking donations and supporters to help us fund a relaunch of Feminist.com in 2025. With our 30-year history as a trusted online feminist space, we are positioned to step into this moment and harness the power of our signature URL, the strength of our network, and a renewed strategy to connect curious newcomers, movement leaders, and feminists of all ages with critical resources, knowledge, and ACTION.

Funds will help us meet this moment and face the years to come with updated infrastructure, a renewed commitment to our mission and approach, and the ability to grow moving forward. We hope you’ll join us in building a Feminist.com that reflects, inspires, and builds up an intersectional, intergenerational feminist movement. To learn more, contact us.
